Hurn Court Opera’s Prizewinners’ Recital

Hurn Court Opera presents its annual vocal recital showcasing prizewinners from the national HCO Singer of the Year Competition. Both singers are now carving out careers with major opera companies: in 2023 Michael made his debut at Glyndebourne Festival in the role of Officer in Poulenc’s Dialogue des Carmélites and Marie joined the Chorus of the Bayreuth Festival for Tannhäuser, Parsifal, Der fliegende Holländer and Götterdämmerung.

HURN COURT OPERA

Hurn Court Opera is a charity set up in 2017 to provide quality, paid performances opportunities for selected young classical singers at the start of their careers. HCO stages opera, recitals, masterclasses and runs an annual national Singer of the Year Competition. Artistic Director: Lynton Atkinson.
